First Alert Sling Testing — our name reflects both the speed of our service and the alert-based notification system in our FASTTRACK software.

Our FASTTRACK software sends automated email alerts to notify you when equipment is due for testing and recertification, keeping you ahead of compliance deadlines before they become emergencies.

We have the only ASTM E-4 calibrated portable test bed in Louisiana. It is accurate to ±1% traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Our test bed is manufactured by Roberts Testing, driven by a GoBook II ruggedized computer, and powered by an Aggreko silent generator — completely self-contained and mobile.

FASTTRACK is our proprietary web-based compliance management system included free for all FAST clients. It provides automated First Alert email reminders, instant certificate access from any device, inventory categorization, and the ability to view, email, print, or copy certificates on demand.

On-site testing eliminates hotshot shipping costs, minimizes equipment downtime, and allows certified items to return to service immediately. You receive newly tagged equipment plus hard copies and a CD of every certificate — including the actual test graph — before we leave your location.

We are extremely competitive for the comprehensive services we provide. Contact us at 337-261-5860 or info@fasttesting.com for pricing specific to your inventory and location.

By recommendation of several major oil companies, we do not manufacture or repair slings. This maintains our independence and objectivity. We can outsource repairs to your sling manufacturer of choice, or provide a complete turnkey service with certificates uploaded to FASTTRACK.

Our primary focus is rigging equipment. However, FASTTRACK can store certificates for slings, rigging hardware, and basket lift points in the same database, providing the same compliance functions.

Inside pin to pin is 21'6". For wire rope slings beyond this length up to 3/4" diameter, we have a FAST Length Doubler that effectively doubles the pin-to-pin distance. Current capacity is 75 tons, with future plans for expanded capacity.

We are based in Lafayette, LA and service the entire Gulf Coast area including Louisiana, Texas, and surrounding regions.

Every item is both proof tested AND visually inspected per ANSI and OSHA annual inspection requirements, using The Crosby Group inspection criteria — the industry standard for rigging hardware.
